EVENT EU-STANDS4PM annual meeting online
The annual meeting 2020 is an important event to seek input from key stakeholders that have an interest in advancing predictive in silico methodologies in personalized medicine – and through broadly applicable standards and harmonized procedures for integration and interpretation of human disease/health data.
One of the major goals of EU-STANDS4PM is to assess and evaluate standardization strategies for health data integration as well as data-driven in silico approaches for personalized medicine with the aim to bundle European standardization efforts. The project will map relevant European initiatives with regard to data sources (WP1) as well as in silico models (WP2). The evaluation of existing in silico standardization strategies will also include a distinct focus on the legal and ethical perspective (WP3) to explore possibilities for improved data sharing in collaborative research projects (WP4). This process is the foundation to develop specific recommendation and guidelines (and EU standard documents) for data harmonization/integration strategies as well as data-driven in silico approaches to interpret human disease/health data.
To tackle the challenges associated with developing and implementing standards for in silico approaches for personalized medicine, EU-STANDS4PM initiated a broad stakeholder consultation process featuring focussed workshops and awareness events, such as the annual meeting 2020. The resulting expert forum aims at analysing the status quo of data and model standards and reflects on possibilities for cross-domain data integration to facilitate in silico modelling approaches for personalized medicine.
